Around Qatar: Al-Khor beach

Beach by the Al-Khor Corniche

We are on Eidul Adha hols, generally a week public holidays in Qatar. For the school children, they have a total of 10 days school break starting from last Friday to next Monday. Yippie for them ;)

Yesterday, we went up to Al-Khor, a small coastal city in northern Qatar. It is 50 km from Doha and it was around 30 mins drive for getting there. Yesterday, the weather was just nice. It was a sunny day with cool breeze of 22-24 deg C. Perfect!

Info from the website, the Al-Khor means creek in Arabic as the town is located on a creek.
